Eight Alarm Building Fire - Conshohocken Boro - August 13, 2008

Engine 29 and Ladder 29 responded on a request of a second alarm fire, with a speical request for additional ladder trucks. Command initially arrived with a fully involved building under construction. Numerous master streams were placed in service to protect exposures. Pipeline 29 responded on a request for the Eastern LDH task force to supply additional water to the scene. The fire caused multiple collapses and up to eight alarms were requested before placing the fire under control with at least five buildings involved.


Technical Rescue - 5100 Joshua Rd, Whitemarsh Township - August 4, 2008

Rescue and Deputy29 arrived to find a vehicle approximately 75 feet down an embankment in a quarry. One victim was confirmed trapped in the vehcile and additional rescues, as well as a ladder, were called to the scene. High angle resuce techinques were used to removed the victim using a ladder truck from the ledge of the quarry. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center with serious injuries.
